We recognize each woman as a beautiful creation made in the image of God. Our women’s ministry focuses on developing the real beauty, that is the reflection of Christ, within each woman. Through bible study, fellowship, service-oriented activities, and special events our goal is the same: To unite women for the purpose of growing in Christ so that their passion for the Lord spills over into every aspect of their lives.

CURRENT BIBLE STUDY SERIES:

“Search for Significance” is a modern Christian classic that you may have heard of. This is an often-referenced, and well-loved book I have been meaning to read for years and am thrilled that it now comes with a workbook, and in a study format that we can do together. Oh, Joy!

The basic premise of this study is to learn to see your true worth through God’s eyes. To understand His vast love for you and as a result to live a life that is free to please Him and no longer bound in people-pleasing, status-building, money-hoarding empty lives. We constantly seek our security, purpose and fulfillment from worldly sources, yet we are left as empty as ever. This book addresses how, through the truth of God’s word, we can get off this hopeless treadmill and into a satisfying, significant walk with God. Billy Graham said, “It should be read by every Christian.” I hope every one of you can join in this important study!

We start on Tuesday, February 16^th at 9:15am at Live Oak Church. Child care will be provided, but reservations must be made in advance, so when you sign-up, please let me know if you’ll need child care. We will also have an evening study on Wednesday nights beginning February 17^th at 6:30 at my home (4501 Wildgrove Court, Flower Mound).

The books are $18.00 each, and this does include the workbook within the book. We have scholarships, so please do not let the cost hinder you! I will be ordering them very soon, so please be sure to reserve yours quickly by emailing me at karen.ambler@liveoakchurchfm.com.

More good news: My husband Dan will be leading the men through this same book and starting the same week as us ladies. The guys will meet on Thursdays at 6:00am at Live Oak Church starting February 18^th. Please invite your husband to contact Dan Ambler at dambler@phasecom.com if he is interested in delving into this classic with the accountability that comes from a group of wonderful men.

But wait, there’s more! (I’ve always wanted to say that!) We have another women’s study starting soon, this one for moms. Beginning on Sunday, February 7^th at 9:00am in Live Oak Church, Teresa Kenney will lead a study on “Parental Guidance Required.” This is a 6-week parenting class that will focus on influencing your child's relationships with God, family, friends and with their own future. The cost is $10, and to sign up contact Teresa at kenneyteresa@verizon.net. And, Steve Messer will lead the dads through a similar parenting study and will meet on Sunday mornings at 8:00am. Dads can contact Steve at messer.sd@verizon.net.

Ladies, if you’ve been longing for warm fellowship and a rich dip into God’s word, you now have no excuse. All are welcome to join. Really. And by all means, come as you are. We are blessed beyond measure to have the most precious, loving and caring women in the area involved in our study groups. Come and see for yourself and be blessed.

Whether you have enjoyed a study with the Live Oak Ladies group before or not, you are always welcome to join us. You will find the most warm, accepting, and loving group of women you’ll ever meet (and that’s not coming from my own biased opinion -– I get told this all the time -– we have the most wonderful women in our group!). You will fit right in!

Our come-as-you-are studies are open to any woman, so please feel free to invite your friends, co-workers, and neighbors. All are welcome!
