During our Summer of Service, I’ll continue to read and share portions of the story of Denver and Ron. Their story is in the book, same kind of different As Me. Tim Phillips loaned me his copy  to read and Teresa read it first. I started the book and then knew I needed to buy my own copy. Buy it, read it, let God use it to help us all grow in compassion.

It’s a worthwhile read!

Finally getting around to posting the Bible verses that have given strength and focus to Shirley. Here they are:
Jeremiah 29:11-12, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.”
Micah 6:8, “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Proverbs 3:5-8, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
Great verses, worthy of study and meditation.
