Have you reflected on Mark chapter 7 since Sunday? I have. Jesus was clear, our lives and decisions are determined deep within, in our hearts. God, I pray you continue to dig deep within us and develop our hearts to long to glorify you in every way in every moment.

Mark 6:6b-56
Bookends: a. The 12 are Sent, b. The 12 Report.
God at Work: a. Depend on God only, b. Preach (The Kingdom of God has arrived & Repent), c. God Worked.
The Weasel (Herod): a. Guilt, b. Gut . . . less, c. Guile.
Life with God (John): a. Cost = ALL, b. Value = ALL. Be –> Do. Relationship with God to a deeper level = Your deal.
The Master (Jesus): a. Sends the 12, b. Quiet Place & Rest, c. Crowds & Compassion, d. You Feed Them (with God, given to God is enough), e. Solitude with God.
Solitude with God: a. Disengage, b. Re-orient, c. Re-charge, d. Re-focus, e. Reengage.

Just wanted to write a quick note about the book I quoted from Sunday morning about our country’s founding fathers. The book was “Our Sacred Honor” by William Bennett. Good book, good guy, makes you appreciate the risk taken and price paid for our freedom. Buy it, check it out or you can borrow mine.
